How It Works
To access what you need at a moment’s notice, gently pull on the shuttle pod release handle, and the lower third of your pack will unlock. You’ll then reach around and swing the shuttle pod to the front of your body in one effortless motion. Returning the shuttle pod to its original position is as easy as reversing the steps: swing it behind you, and gently push it in place.
About Mt. Pickett
Located in Moran State Park on Orcas Island, in Washington State, the Mt. Pickett summit rises 1,750 ft. above sea level. It’s a 6.5-mile loop that starts at Mountain Lake, and makes its way through the largest contiguous tract of naturally propagated, unlogged old-growth forest remaining in the lower elevations of the Puget Sound. It’s a peaceful, less traveled, challenging hike (and worth naming a pack after).
