And The Color of 2017 Is…

Red, yellow, blue, green – what will the color of 2017 be?

Pantone, the utmost authority on color, has recently announced the new color of the year for 2017. Last year’s colors of Serenity and Rose Quartz represented the need for harmony and while these past few month have been all about the “red” and the “blue”, Pantone has chosen a color of 2017 that takes us back to nature.

Pantone Color of 2017
Greenery (15-0343 TCX) is the official color and described as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore, and renew.”

“Our lives are accelerating even faster, tech is more overpowering, and the global climate is more complex,” Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute says. “The big macro driver here was getting back to nature.”

We absolutely love this color choice. Partly because of its vibrance and vitality, and partly because of the organic nature of it. But let’s be honest…we love it because it’s such a close color to our Mt. Pickett 18 bright green Paxis pack. Shameless plug? Maybe. But seriously, how could we not point this out! The color of 2017 already exists on one of our packs!

There’s so many things we can think of that scream this “Greenery” color (Granny Smith apples, Seahawks green…). What does it remind you of? Share your thoughts with us about this 2017 color of the year.
